Our Services

At Empilweni Psychological Services, we offer a range of services to meet your mental health needs. Our team of skilled practitioners is trained in the latest techniques and approaches to ensure that you receive the best possible care. Some of our services include:

01

Individual psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy is personalized therapy where a trained therapist helps a client tackle emotional or psychological challenges through one-on-one sessions. The focus is on the individual's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, aiming for personal growth and improved mental well-being.

02

Group psychotherapy

Group psychotherapy involves a therapist leading a group of individuals who come together to discuss and work on common psychological issues or goals. Members share experiences, provide support, and learn from one another under the guidance of the therapist. It provides a supportive environment for interpersonal growth, insight, and behavioral change through interaction with others facing similar challenges.

03

Child Psychotherapy

Child psychotherapy involves a trained therapist working with children to address emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges. Through play, conversation, and age-appropriate techniques, the therapist helps the child express feelings, develop coping skills, and navigate difficulties. The focus is on the child's unique needs and experiences, aiming to promote emotional well-being and healthy development.

All psychometric assessments

These are:

  1. Child Assessments: Child assessments are standardized tests used by professionals to evaluate a child's development, behavior, cognition, and emotions. They include developmental, behavioral, cognitive, academic, social-emotional, speech-language, adaptive behavior, and sensory processing assessments. These assessments help identify strengths, challenges, and areas needing intervention to support the child's overall well-being and academic success.

  2. Adult Assessments: Adult assessment utilizes standardized tests to evaluate an adult's mental health, personality, cognition, and emotional well-being. Conducted by professionals, these tests inform treatment plans and interventions tailored to individual needs.
